National President's Jewelry

Two distinctive pieces of jewelry are worn by the National President: the National President's Ring, which is created for each National President, and the National President's Medallion, which is passed on and worn by each National President during her term of office. The National President's Ring has an oval face and features the Gavel and the Coat of Arms in the center and the words "Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity Founded 1893" around the outside. Only present and past National Presidents may wear the National President's Ring. The National President's Medallion, a gold disc, is worn by the current National President at all official Fraternity functions. The Medallion features the name of the Fraternity, the Coat of Arms and the Gavel on one side. On the other side is the Oath of Office by which each elected member of the National Council pledges her loyalty and service. The links in the gold chain attached to the Medallion represent all Alpha Xi Delta chapters ever installed, and each link bears the chapter's Greek-letter name.
